    Pollyburger

If you’re a burger lover, then you’ll fall in love with our delicious Pollyburger. The Pollyburger is a 1/3 lb. premium custom blended beef patty that’s always fresh and never frozen on buns that are baked fresh every day; pickles, sweet onions, and lettuce work in perfect concert to thoroughly satisfy your taste buds. Thanks to Ms. Polly’s special dressing, the Pollyburger tastes unlike any burger you’ve ever had.

    Famous Tuna Salad Sandwich

If you love fish, you can’t pass up our famous white albacore tuna salad sandwich. Our patrons love the combination of albacore tuna, sweet onions, chopped eggs, relish, and other tasty ingredients. The ingredients are nestled between 2 slices of freshly bakes white bread. This sandwich comes with your choice of Kona-style chips, coleslaw, French fries, or baked beans.

    Famous Chicken Pie

Though we specialize in sweet pies, we also make a mean savory pie. The proof is in our famous chicken pie, which is made of fresh broccoli, carrots, peas, cauliflower, celery, sweet onions, and potatoes wrapped in our famous flaky “handmade” pie crust. This meal comes complete with fresh rolls, Yukon Gold “skin-on” smashed potatoes, and a cranberry garnish.

    Rotisserie Chicken Dinner

Our last two Big Value meals are ¼ rotisserie chickens. Depending on your preference, you can enjoy either the light meat or dark meat chicken. Our chicken comes from nearby Foster Farms, and is specially marinated in 12 herbs and spices. Seasoned green beans and smashed potatoes round out this tasty Big Value meal.

As stated before, each of these Big Value meals comes with a slice of fresh black forest or cherry crisp pie. To order one of the above items or to explore the other tasty dishes on our menu, come by the recently opened Polly’s Pies of Moreno Valley. Why Are Family Meals Important?

    Last updated 2 months ago

Many parents have this image of enjoying nice family dinners with their children. While family dinners may be easy when your kids are young, they become more difficult as your kids turn into busy teenagers. Still, there are a number of reasons why you should encourage your family members to come together and enjoy a nightly meal.

    Spending Quality Time Together

Kids tend to become more isolated as they enter their teenage years, and they often drift away from their parents as a result. Though it’s important for teenagers to discover their own independence, it’s equally important for parents to check in on their teenagers’ lives. A family dinner is a great excuse to get everyone together and discuss the events of the day. When clashing schedules make family time difficult, a nightly dinner can provide the means for family bonding.

    Practicing Healthier Eating Habits

If everyone is left to fend for themselves at dinnertime, there’s no guarantee that they’ll make the healthiest choices. Many teenagers don’t have a thorough understanding of nutrition, and thus have no problem eating junk food for dinner. By preparing a home-cooked meal and occasionally taking your family members out to eat, you can make sure they get all their food groups and go to bed satisfied.

    Encouraging Good Behavior

Recent research suggests that teenagers who eat family meals at home are less likely to drink, smoke, and engage in criminal behavior. There’s something about the stability and structure of a nightly family dinner that encourages better behavior in teenagers. Also, taking your family out for dinner is a great way to teach your children good manners in public. Rewarding your children with delicious dinners out can show that you respect their accomplishments.

Polly’s Pies in Moreno Valley is an excellent place for a family night out. We have an extensive kid’s menu, several gluten-free options, tasty burgers, and everything else your family could want. To take advantage of our numerous promotions, don’t hesitate to join our e-club.

Reasons to Consider Going Gluten Free

    Last updated 2 months ago

According to one estimate, nearly 20 million people in the U.S. have Celiac disease, or a gluten intolerance. While opting for a gluten-free diet is a no-brainer for these individuals, many who do not suffer from Celiac disease are also considering life without gluten. Gluten refers to a group of proteins found in wheat, and cutting it from your diet may produce the following benefits:

    Increased Energy

For some people, gluten can prevent the proper absorption of vital vitamins and minerals. Those who are sensitive to gluten thus have trouble keeping their energy up, and become addicted to caffeine in an effort to stay alert. If you’re trying to scale back your caffeine intake without sacrificing your energy levels, consider embracing a diet that’s free of pasta, breads, and other food items that have gluten.

    Smoother Digestion

Gluten’s tendency to interfere with the absorption of nutrients can sometimes make digestion very difficult. For some people, gluten causes inflammation of the small intestine, which can lead to nausea, diarrhea, gas, cramping, and other abdominal issues. If you’ve had problems with any of these issues in the past, talk to your doctor about cutting gluten from your diet. Though it may seem like gluten is everywhere, you’ll have no trouble finding gluten-free alternatives if you know where to look.

    Improved Mood

What you eat has a huge impact on your mental health. If you’re frequently eating foods that are high in sugar and fat, you’re more likely to feel depressed. Some research suggests that gluten may also lead to brain issues. Cytokines, which are released into the brain when you eat gluten, have been linked to headaches, depression, Alzheimer’s disease, and Parkinson’s disease. Cutting gluten from your diet may not eliminate your risk of these issues, but it can help clear your mind.

Polly’s Pies is proud to have an excellent gluten-free menu for our gluten-intolerant patrons. Of course, we also have plenty of traditional food items for those who love dishes with gluten. Our Moreno Valley location has just opened its doors, and we’re always looking for more people to join our e-club!
